What do I have to do?

It’s actually quite simple.  Decorate your Pod in a desired theme, then make sure to dress up your Sackperson accordingly.  Or decorate your Sackperson and then dress up your Pod accordingly, your pick! :smileyvery-happy: Anyway.  Take a pic and then send it to us to be judged!  If you got really intricate with your Sackboy, then make sure to send us some pictures of the costume close up too, but watch out, your maximum Sackperson pictures are two! It’s that easy.  The rest will be explained in the “How do I enter?” bit.

How am I judged?

You will be judged in two major categories: Originality of your theme and creativity of your decorations.  The more creative and unique the better!  Remember, you want us to keep you in mind while judging, so make sure to send us something that will really “wow” us!

You can include an explanation or description in the email you will send, but it is neither necessary nor something that will affect your chances of winning.

What is the judging process?

I know a lot of you are going to want to know this one.  It’s pretty simple.  Each of the FIVE judges will pick their top 10 entries.  We will then combine these lists all into one mega-list of around 50 entries.   From there we will, as a group, narrow down the entries to the top 3 and then to the winner.  When getting rid of entries in the final 50, it will take a 3/5 vote to scratch out an entry and then a unanimous vote to pick the entry.

Judges will remain anonymous until after the winner is announced. After that point, judges may reveal themselves if they wish.

How do I enter?

Well as I said before, you just send us your pictures.  Now where do you send the pictures to?  To loclbp@live.com of course!  This is the only way to enter.  There will be no special exceptions made to accomodate any one person.  Now we are very specific about how you are to enter, so make sure to follow the following instructions.  Failure to follow protocol will result your entry being disqualified. Please use the following format for your email subject/title:

PSN – Theme

Your PSN goes first followed by whatever theme you are choosing to use.  It should end of being like the following example, though obviously with your own PSN and your own theme.

Ex: zim1985 – Space

One entry per PSN!

In addition to your Pod picture, we are also allowing 2 other pictures for your Sackboy.  Since this is in part a costume contest, we feel that if you want to show off your costume you should be able to.  Pick 2 sides of your sackboy to show.  If you send more than one then the first 2 pictures will be the ones that we judge.

If you wish, you can use more than one costume in your Pod Picture, meaning that if having more than one costume will make the theme better, then go for it.  Please keep in mind that even though you have more than one Sackperson, you are still only allowed 2 extra spots to send us pictures of them.  Pick and choose which close-ups you want to send, because as we said before, we will only judge the first 2 that are sent in (see paragraph above).

Please remember that the email is the ONLY WAY to enter.  No PM’s, no PSN messages.  Another note.  Judges will NOT be competing for obvious reasons.  Just thought I would post that to avoid future discrepancies.

How do I get images from my PS3?

1. Take the photo using the in-game camera (Next to sticker editor tool)

2. Select the image, press square and select “Export to HDD”.

3. Get a flash drive. You can buy them at Radio Shack, Any number of gigabytes will usually do.

4. Put the flash drive into one of the controller slots.

5. Quit the game and go to “pictures” on your PSN start-up screen.

6. Select the image you want to use, press square and select “Copy”.

7. Take out the flash drive and put it into your computer.

What do I win?

Well I am very pleased to announce that the winner gets… *drumroll* …A CROWN!  Yes.  I have been authorized to give one crown out to the winner of this contest!  If that’s not incentive enough to start planning to decorate then I don’t know what is!  Winners will be announced in the coming weeks after the contest is closed.

Little Big Screensaver

by Cstrfrk on Jul.02, 2009, under Downloads

Here’s a great little big screensaver I created way back in Oct. of last year.  Unfortunately it’s only for pc.  Simply download this file and double click to run the .exe install file.  Once installed, go to your screensaver setup tab by right-clicking your desktop and choosing “Properties”.  That’s it!  Pretty simple.  I hope to get some more of these up here real soon so check back and let me what you think.

Here’s a flash preview.

Sacktue of Liberty Coming!

by Cstrfrk on Jun.29, 2009, under All Little Big Planet News

18So this week we’re going to be treated with another costume to add to our collections.  In celebrating Independence Day this coming Saturday, we’re being treated to a Sacktue of Liberty costume.  This looks pretty cool, expecially the torch which will glow.  Nice touch MM!

Check out the official post below taken from Media Molecule’s blog.

Last week we celebrated the Summer Solstice with the release of the Druid costume available for free, which we’re pleased to see many of you enjoyed.

To continue the celebrations, we’re marking this years Independence Day by releasing a Sacktue of Liberty costume, available once more for free!

Featuring the iconic crown and robe from the Statue of Liberty, the costume also includes the famous torch of enlightenment, complete with glowing flames of fabric.

The Statue of Liberty (officially titled Liberty Enlightening the World) was a gift from France to the United States of America in 1886 to commemorate the centennial of the signing of the United States Declaration of Independence.  Sculpted by Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi, the 93m (305ft) high statue’s internal structure was interestingly enough engineered by Maurice Koechlin – none other than the designer of the Eiffel Tower.  It is now internationally recognised as a symbol of the United States of America, and a fitting choice to celebrate the United States of America’s day of Independence this July 4th.

Head over to the PSN Store this July 2nd to grab this limited-time costume in time for the big day.  And don’t forget that the Druid costume is still available this week, but for a limited time only, so make sure you download your Druid before Thursday; if only to secure yourself that awesome beard for your Sackboy.
